Earlier this month, coaches from each of the thirteen high schools in the Cape Ann League considered their student athletes for the annual CAL Scholarship.Ten very impressive candidates were nominated for this year's scholarship which will be awarded on Saturday May 21 following the conclusion of The Cape Ann League Outdoor Track & Field Championships at North Andover High School in North Andover, MA.

The coaches praise for these student athletes express a shared set of attributes; motivated, intense, dedicated, leadership, belief in oneself, encouraging and inspiring. Each candidate is a serious competitor, garnering respect from rival athletes and coaches across the league and indeed the state. Their resume of achievement speaks volumes; Participation in National Championships, All-State Champions, State Division and All-League Recognitions, All-Scholastic and all-team MVP's. Each of these students have created a legacy of excellence at their school and head to college knowing that their contributions will not be soon forgotten.
